Instructions
|
1) Slice tops of green peppers off and remove seeds. Place peppers side by side in a heavy pot.
2) Fill pot with water until tops of green peppers are covered.
3) Boil for 3 minutes. Remove from pot.
4) In a medium to large frying pan, cook ground beef or ground turkey. Drain.
5) Add tomato sauce, onion, sugar, basil, and rice.
6) Add 1/3 cup of cheese.
7) Place peppers in a glass baking dish.
8) Spoon meat mixture into peppers.
9) Top with remaining cheddar cheese.
10) Bake on 350 degrees F for 20 minutes.
